The sun came out a little earlier today
or, may be not
Past two weeks have been cloudy
and thus it seems so.
It's 7:00, the clock says
Me not waking up, it's Saturday.
A regular Saturday !
Feel of the morning kiss,
The known whisper
The look of the known face
and the familiar walls
Two posters of my bed
the blue world map
Ash and yellow quilt
All intact
'Almost nine' - the known voice
The joys of familiarity
The pleasures of a regular Saturday!
Morning tea,
Not the usual green.
Today, it's Darjeeling
with Madeleines.
The new tea-cups from Ikea,
green flowers on white
with no 'ears'
The warmth on my palms
the soothing gold
Cozy, peace and stories untold.
Pothos by the work table has one more leaf
Bright light green with the white ribs.
The flamingo plant is peeping red
The last I saw this, was in May
Ah! Not so much a regular Saturday!
Starbucks Date
The coveted corner table
Mocha Latte, hot chocolate and muffin
Reminiscences of the past.
The couple by the window
Quiet and all smiles.
The lady is wearing a pink beanie
A single red rose by her side
A minute or two,
Only the fingers move.
Such beautiful fingers!
Not a single sound.
The man with the brown turtle neck
Is all eyes to her stories
Love through signs.
Mute courtship.
Ah! Not at all a regular Saturday!
